The Arts and Craft of Politics

This exhibition explores how art, design and craft were used to promote social and political ideas throughout the Arts & Crafts Movement.

It centres on works by John Ruskin, William Morris and Walter Crane, with loans from The Whitworth, William Morris Gallery, The Ruskin and People’s History Museum. Also featuring commissioned work by artists Sam Pickett, Samra Mayanja and Julia Parks, created in collaboration with communities across Cumbria.
