Circle Film

(2’57/hand processed and printed 16mm/2017)

Film study of natural and man-made circles found in the landscape of west-Cumbria, many of which refer to now obsolete industries. The film includes 17th century Salt Pan at Mile Fortlet 21, a slag heap created by the steel manufacturing in Workington and abandoned sheepfolds deep in the Northern Fells. The film was created as part of the Allerdale Film Farm, a ten-day 16mm film event which took place in West Cumbria in August 2017.

To be seen as a projected in a loop, with the audience supporting the film as it travels around the room and back through the projector.
